we from codecentric would like to introduce us. Our roots in Germany were founded over 15 years ago. Today we are part of a group with over 550 employees, 15 locations and hundreds of customers. Last ten years we were also busy founding development centers in Serbia (Novi Sad) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Banja Luka and Doboj). Analog to the German locations we heavily invested in the local tech scene, be it in hosting meet-ups, organizing the coding-Serbia or sharing our knowledge via conferences or our blog.

We have grown to over 100 employees in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, work on great projects, developed our first large client, have the best colleagues and live in beautiful offices.

But we still decided, something has to change...

We have grown locally so significantly, that we decided to build our own presence in the international market (EMEA), rebrand and acquire our own clients.

This is why we need your help. If you can imagine driving all marketing activities to create a brand from scratch with the backing of a successful large company with a working business model - then we need to talk!

We have been guided by Simon Sinek’s approach and have a clear understanding of Why we exist, how we help our customers and what we do. You need to help us to refine the model, and to integrate our Value Proposition and Customer Profiles to build our presence in the market.

We expect that our presence will generate brand awareness, ideally in showing why we are unique and tracing back our heritage. As soon as we have polished our goto market we expect to be able to generate qualified leads for our sales team from our marketing activities. Currently, we are considering online, customer community and sales as areas in which we should become active - again it is up to you to guide us.

Besides working with Senior Management you can work with hired creatives you share with Recruiting Marketing. Codecentric has a history of using organic content generated by the employees to be present in the community. For this and other personal development activities, each employee has 20% of her and his time to work on research and/or publications. In order of the new development, it will also be up to you to assist colleagues in finding suitable publication topics and channels.

We expect you to understand our core strategy, adapt it to the mutually agreed upon marketing activities, delegate any necessary activities - yet claiming responsibility for the delivered outcome. We have a very strong hands-on approach across the entire company.

As you will be defining our presence worldwide and will need to interact with a few German people, you should be fluent in English. Also expect the occasional trip to other offices, conferences or even customers. Job requirements:

  • 3+ years in product marketing in a B2B IT company
  • Self-starter, quick learner, with sharp business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal audiences and customer-facing messaging.
  • Advanced level (C1) of English is required, German or any other language is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven capabilities interpreting data and qualitative research
  • Flexible, you can handle multiple challenges and work under pressure
  • Available for occasional traveling
  • Understanding of Digital Product Development process on a high-level basis
